Working with companies of all sizes to make the most of the internet.

I’ve had this feeling for a while that reCaptchas are getting harder, you know the things where you have to identify an image of a word in order prove you are human and access a website.

My theory is that because these work by recycling the same scanned words from books, the ones that people get right are used to translate the scanned imaged into searchable text for http://books.google.com/ and similar sites, unfortunately the ones people get wrong get thrown back into the pool for someone else to try later.

Have a look at the these two that I have had over the last couple of days and see if you agree that they are starting to scrape the bottom of the barrel.

I actually managed to get in on this first one using this site http://www.upsidedowntext.com/.

This one however I didnt stand a chance.
